The magic carpet

As I do most mornings, on the morning of the Oscars, I asked my daughter, Ava, if she had good dreams and what it was that she dreamed about. This particular morning when I asked her what she dreamed about she said, “dresses!” It made my day. The day before I told her another red carpet (which she calls the magic carpet…how cute is that!) was going to be on and having watched two with me already at the Golden Globes and Grammys, she knew what to expect. So when I said a new dresses show was going to be on, she got a huge smile on her face. For those of you who know me, you can imagine how happy this made me feel being a forever fan of glamour, fashion and all things that sparkle.

Truth be told, Elena of Avalor on Disney Junior was the show of choice when push came to shove but never fear, TiVo was here.

These were a few gowns that took my breath away. I do wish they would go into more detail on all the time and effort that went into the dresses. For example, Emma Stone’s dress, they said on E! Fashion Police took 1700 hours to make, 11 seamstresses and was hand made. Those people are stars in my book.

p.s. kind of funny all but one of my dress picks has a belt!
